He was humble when he came into this world and was born in a manger. He was humble when he rode on a donkey and people laid out palm leaves and said , " Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord".
Philippians 2:5-11
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, ...
He was humble when he died on the cross for our sin so we could be saved. He didn't have to do that.
He was bold when he stood up to the pharisees and told them the truth, Luke 20:45
He was bold when he turned over the changing tables and told them they had made his fathers house into a den of thieves. Matthew 21:12 He was bold when he spoke as a man of authority and not as a man or their scribes. Matthew 7:29
Jesus was controversial, Think about it when he cast those demons in the herd of pigs. Why, that destroyed the economy of the pig farmer. The people made him leave there. He was loved and hated. You have to be bold in order to be controversial. Yet he was still humble.
Jesus was not fearful. Perfect love cast out fear. He did not have to die on the cross he could have called down angels from Heaven and destroyed his enemies but he loved us enough and new the only way for us to be saved from a devils hell was for Jesus to die on the cross. He was humble when he needed to be and he was bold when he needed to be. He went through torment for us and was shamed and beaten, made fun of put down and laughed at. He withstood all of this so we might be saved and by his stripes we are healed.
Jesus came and did what he needed to do on Earth so we could be saved. He was not a coward , he was bold and yes he was humble. Jesus is Lord of All, and He is my savior and Lord.
